The company AZUR, established under the name of “United oil and soap factories”, evolved during the years, following its development course in accordance with the evolution of the Romanian society.

In 1923 Eugen Farber founded United Lacquers and Paints Factory, moment marking the beginning of the paints production.

After 1989, the company had to find resources for the new path.
The privatization of the company, through purchasing the main stock, of about 88% by ICC Industries New York, represented finality with historical touch, as the new owner of the company was Dr. John Farber, son of Eugen Farber.

Today, the company is engaged on the path of change. Thus, the company’s policy is considering orientation towards consumer, diversification of solution offer in order to increase competitiveness on market.
We are changing because the market is changing, the competitive environment is changing, and consumer’s behavior is changing.

Starting from these premises, Azur is launching the CHANGE.

The development of the decorative products segment through inquiry diversification obliges us to sustained efforts on research.

Thus, for the Brand ROUA, we will prepare a concept for the water-based enamel in maxim 6 ready mix shades.

In order to promptly respond to diverse inquiries, we will extend the concept on the tinting system NATURA by developing water borne enamel bases. We will succeed this way to offer the colours in accordance with the colour card NATURA.

We will develop the brand QTEK extending the professional products line. We intend to release the thermo system QTEK I 2007.

We will launch an epoxy system for floors, solid content 100% and also water borne system for floors. Both concepts take into account tinting in system in order to provide flexibility related to requests, and operation costs cut back.

During 2007, AZUR will release a selection of colours for decorative plasters, according QTEK colour card. Specialists specially choose colours and we do recommend them to our customers.
